FloraBank aims to improve the availability and quality of native seed for revegetation and conservation purposes in Australia. They want people to be better informed and able to collect, store and use native seed efficiently and responsibly. Their website includes a series of guidelines for seed collection and storage. Funded by
the Bushcare program of the Commonwealth's Natural Heritage Trust,
FloraBank is a collaboration between Greening Australia, CSIRO Forestry
and Forest Products through the Australian Tree Seed Centre, and the
Australian National Botanic Gardens. The Australian Centre for Mining
Environmental Research and the Nursery Industry Association of
Australia
also participate in FloraBank. Author: (please check each guideline) Publication: (please check each guideline) Web (check for updates!): http://www.florabank.org.au/guidelines.htm (new window will open) Suggested citation: (please check each guideline) |
