Assistant Scientist - Land Health Management

Bertin Takoutsing is a land health management scientist at the World Agroforestry Centre’s with the  Land Health Decisions Theme. Currently, he leads land health research activities at the Regional office for West and Central Africa based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. His research interests are on land degradation assessment, soil improvement, land use planning and infrared spectroscopy of soils, including the development of spectral libraries. He is presently involved in the development of statistical tools for analyzing spatial-temporal data, high-dimensional data analysis, image processing of remote sensing data, and decision support systems for landscape ecological restoration. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering and Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in soil and water engineering management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His Google Scholar and researchgate profiles lists over 17 refereed journal articles and 3 invited book chapters.
