SAS

SAS software is a data analysis software designed for both specialized and enterprise wide analytical needs, from traditional statistical analysis of variance to exact methods and statistical visualization techniques. SAS is designed to handle large datasets enabling you to take advantage of all data that is available for your analyses.

 

Modules available

  • Base SAS - the core of SAS, manages data.
  • SAS Enterprise Guide - this is the Microsoft Windows client application that provides a guided mechanism to use SAS and publish dynamic results in a uniform way.
  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to PC Files - Allows SAS to transparently share data with personal computer applications including MS Access and Microsoft Office Excel.
  • SAS/ETS - provides Econometrics and Time Series Analysis
  • SAS/GRAPH - SAS/GRAPH is needed for charting on graphical media.
  • SAS/IML – these are Matrix-handling SAS script extensions.
  • SAS/QC – quality control provides quality improvement tools.
  • SAS/STAT - Statistical Analysis with a number of procedures, providing statistical information such as analysis of variance, regression, multivariate analysis, and categorical data analysis.

 

Instruction to obtain SAS

Send an email to Paul Baraka, Paul (ICRAF) who is the SAS custodian through P.Baraka@cgiar.org. In your email include the budget code which will be used to charge for the SAS license. The cost of the SAS license is USD 250 annually.
