Abstract:
The World Agroforestry Centre has demonstrated its commitment to rigorous, relevant and development-oriented research since its establishment in Southeast Asia in 1993.

In 2010, we continued to find innovative methods to bring to light issues of critical importance to poor farmers, development agencies, governments and donors.

We have strategically focussed on global issues with local impact across the Southeast Asian region, ensuring that sustainability is at the forefront of all we do. With programs reaching across Asia Highlights World Agroforestry Centre Southeast Asia Program 2010 Ujjwal Pradhan, Regional Coordinator from Tibet to the Philippines and from the DPR Korea to Indonesia, and encompassing a range of activities from REDD to the red ape, from farmers' field schools to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the Centre's scope is far-reaching and focussed on linking science with sustainability on the ground.
