Young, passionate and inspiring speakers are being sought to make a TEDx-style presentation during a special event as part of the XIV World Forestry Congress.
There are 3 or 4 slots to fill and the Congress organizers will pay full costs for successful applicants. In particular, they are looking for people involved in a youth-led initiative or project established and run by young people to engage communities. The selection criteria include:
- impact and or potential impact of youth-led initiatives
- projects that adopt cross-sectorial or integrated land-use approaches (forestry, agroforestry, watershed etc.)
- projects that bring together young people of diverse backgrounds
- engaging stories
The deadline for applications is 15 June 2015 however the organizers will make selections on a rolling basis.
The Congress is being held from 7 to 11 September 2015 in Durban, South Africa
