Webinar on Maya Nut

Maya Nut and efforts to find a balance between people, food and forests is the subject of an upcoming webinar by Erika Vohman, Executive Director of the Maya Nut Institute.

The event is part of the Agroforestry in Action Webinar Series run by the University of Missouri. It will take place at 11.00am (CDT) on 30 April 2015.

Titled: Livelihoods, Forest Conservation and Women's Empowerment in Central America, Vohman’s presentation will discuss how rural communities are learning about the value of Maya Nut (Brosimum alicastrum) for food, fodder, ecosystem services and income.
