Viet Nam News reports that the latest technological advances will be showcased at the five-day Hi-Tech Agro 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City in October.

HCM City is the main consumer and exporter of many agroforestry and seafood products in the country while the Mekong Delta and south-eastern provinces are the major suppliers.

Among the aims of this event are: to promote Vietnamese agricultural brands; introduce the country's increasing agricultural production capabilities to importers; and attract investment in the agriculture and food processing industry.
