National Geographic highlight Centre’s climate research

In its February newswatch bulletin, National Geographic draws attention to research by the World Agroforestry Centre into rising temperature on the Tibetan plateau that are affecting grasslands.

Scientists have found that that grasses and other vegetation on the plateau are not yet in balance with environmental conditions that require altered life cycles, such as a longer growing seasons to match higher overall temperatures and warmer winters.
