(Malawi News Agency) Traditional leaders in KU for bylaws on conservation agriculture

As Conservation Agriculture (CA) is being promoted in the wake of climate change, traditional leaders in Kasungu believe the only way to progress is to have by laws in the villages.

The chiefs say the bylaws must be put in place as there has been an observation that some practices by the villagers are getting in the way of CA.

According to Voice Jere of Kamkowa Village Sub Traditional Authority (STA) Mphomwa in Kasungu the Agricultural Extension Development Coordinators in the villages have encouraged CA together with the planting of trees but people are discouraged by what other people do.Read more
