The Southern Africa Beating Famine Conference, being held from 14-17 April 2015 in Lilongwe, Malawi, offers an opportunity to engage with a wide array of development organizations involved in promoting food security and climate change resilience.
Hosted by World Vision and the World Agroforestry Centre, the conference will discuss the latest techniques being used to regenerate land in order to improve livelihoods. It will bring together world-class speakers from a wide range of fields and organizations, including the World Resources Institute, the CGIAR and international NGOs.
Co-sponsors of the conference include the UN Convention on Combatting Desertification and Land Degradation (UNCCD), The African Union, The Global Environment Facility, The World Bank, and the African Climate Smart Agriculture Alliance (ACSAA).
