European Agroforestry Conference

The 2nd European Agroforestry Conference will focus on recent advances in science and policy across different regions of Europe.

With the theme of ‘Integrating Science & Policy to Promote Agroforestry in Practice’, the conference will be held in Cottbus, Germany in June 2014.

Eurosite reports that participants are expected to discuss how agroforestry can be more broadly adopted across Europe. A plenary session presented by the European Agroforestry Federation will look at lessons learned and what can be expected in the future.

A series of parallel workshops will cover recent developments in agroforestry across Europe, innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture, the environmental benefits of agroforestry, carbon, water and nutrient cycling through agroforestry and agroforestry for land reclamation.

In conjunction with the conference a special issue of the journal Agroforestry Systems will be published.
