Conservation farming in Zambia set to scale up

An 11 million Euro project in Zambia will see conservation farming improved and scaled-up to increase crop production in various parts of the country.

Africa Investor reports that the Scaling Up Programme(CASU) will be implemented in 31 districts and benefit more than 300 000 farmers. It includes the promotion of agroforestry and improved land management practices aimed at environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

Agriculture Minister Robert Sichinga has vowed to move fast on implementing the project.
