Finding solutions for a sustainable future is the aim of the Business for Environment (B4E) Global Summit to be held in April in New Delhi, India.
Dr Tony Simons, Director General of the World Agroforestry Centre, will moderate a session during the summit on boosting rural economies by increasing the use of trees. “Without a more sustainable approach to agriculture, we will not have sustainable societies or a sustainable planet,” says Simons in the article.
Simons will also be running a discussion on integrating sustainable business approaches into the agenda of the World Congress on Agroforestry, which will be held in Delhi in February 2014.
India Info Online reports that more than 500 delegates from business, government and the NGO community are expected to explore inclusive green business models, innovation in finance and technology and propose industry commitments to action.
