Gender Implementing Team

A Gender Implementing Team (GIT), comprising gender focal points from science domains, regional and country offices, has since 2010 championed and driven gender related work across ICRAF. Focal points have been advocates of gender integration in their regions and units, and have also developed a network to promote strategic research on gender in agroforestry landscapes.  These efforts have helped to stimulate interest in, and the recognition of, the importance of examining the dynamics of gender in agroforestry research and development.

The Gender Implementing Team – GIT support gender integration and gender analysis within their teams, lead gender strategic research, discuss and share gender sensitive research methods and communicate gender evidence generated with their teams.
