Main activities

• Statistical data analysis

• Reporting of statistical analyses, including contributing to and reviewing research publications

• Support to research quality systems, project and study design, data management and training & capacity building work areas

• Assisting the Head of RMG - management & administration

Main expertise

• Design, sampling and analysis of large and small-scale research studies

• Providing statistical consultancy to a wide range of multi-disciplinary research teams

• Training and capacity building in data management and statistics for research scientists

• Writing technical reports and contributing statistical aspects to scientific papers

• Quality assurance of research protocols and Standard operating Procedures

• Fully conversant in the use of several statistical packages

Conducts training courses in following languages

Warning

Do not confuse her approachable & friendly manner with 'gentleness'! If you can't find her in the office you could try 25metres under the Indian Ocean where Jane can often be found carrying out her own large-scale fish surveys.
