Jane Kugonza

Senior Dissemination Facilitator and Team Leader, EADD Project

Jane Kugonza is currently the Dissemination Facilitator/ Team Leader for EADD project at the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). She holds a Master's Degree in Livestock Management Planning and Development from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She has a BSc. Forestry from the same University. Jane has over 8 years of experience implementing donor funded Research and Development projects in Uganda.  Her designation at The World Agroforestry Centre has propelled in her into leading a team of professionals to promote high value feeds and leguminous fodder among smallholder farmers. She has over the past five years worked on The East Africa Dairy Development Project and trained over 1000 Farmer Trainers and reached 45,000 smallholder farmers to adopt high protein fodder and legumes to increase milk production. Jane has been facilitating local seed supply systems through capacity building program and establishing linkages between farmer groups and private sector players dealing in legume and other related seeds. She is experienced in managing effective partnerships with relevant stakeholders and her passion lies in using her skills to change lives and create positive social change in communities.
